And might I recommend on that day, you make a cream of crab soup similar to this.
On Christmas Eve, our family tradition is to feast on an awesome array of appetizers. The menu changes from year to year but my mom's cream of crab soup is the constant that steals the spotlight every time. I don't have her exact recipe since it's tucked away safely in an old magazine at my parents' house but I promise you'll fall in love with the rich, creamy, savory goodness of this dish.
I don't enjoy snow but the first blizzard that sweeps through DC will be my treat yo self day. yipee!
