I love parallel parking. Well, I love it when I can take my time, when no one is waiting impatiently to pass me, and when I can get it on the first try. Otherwise, I hate parallel parking and avoid it at all costs. But, I like to show off when I get my car in a tight spot with my wheels parallel to and six inches from the curb. See?

A day in Hundred Acre Wood
“If ever there is tomorrow when we're not together.. there is
something you must always remember. You are braver than you believe, stronger
than you seem, and smarter than you think. But the most important thing is, even
if we're apart.. i'll always be with you.”
While most the world seems to be focusing on the upcoming Harry Potter movie, I am more interested in the new Winnie the Pooh movie. I love Winnie. I love Tigger (my husband can mimic him perfectly) and I adore little Roo. When I saw the trailors for the movie I was immediately taken back to my childhood. Now I just need to find someone to come with me...

P.S. I am looking forward to the Harry Potter movie too!

Happiness
That's what I experienced this weekend. Completely and total happiness. Nothing makes me happier than a beautiful weekend at home with my family. I keep looking at the pictures from this weekend and they just continue to make me smile. I can hear the giggles and shrieks of laughter from my nieces and nephews. I can still feel the hugs and wet kisses.
I'm lucky that my entire family sets aside 4th of July weekend for a reunion. Since we're all spread out this is sometimes our only chance to see each other during the year. And we make the most of it!
I feel refreshed and satistified after this weekend. It was the perfect amount of laughing, eating, swimming and sun. If only it could have lasted a bit longer. I'm already looking forward to next year!

| Watching the fireworks display. The men outdid themselves! |
| Not bad for a backyard display! |

My apologies...
Dear Blogosphere,
I would like to apologize for my lack of blogging recently. I can't believe how quickly these summer days slip by. Before I know it, another day is gone and I'm exhausted. Want proof? Look at how tired I look in Kate's last post (Wolftrap), even with an hour nap under my belt that afternoon.
And although my days seem to constantly be go-go-go, I don't have much to show for it. Here are the few pictures I've taken this summer.
On my list for the rest of the summer: cleaning up my basement, hosting a yard sale, moving Goosey into her new room, getting the nursery ready for the new baby, and finishing my on-line education class.
Hugs to our followers,
LC

| Goosey climbed up the right side of this playground all by herself! So did her daddy!

Wolftrap
LC and I made our annual trip to Wolftrap and scored tickets to see Mama Mia! Watching shows at the outdoor venue is one of my most favorite summer activities. We packed a picnic, played some games and enjoyed our twin time together. This yearly tradition is one of the highlights of my summer and next year I'm hoping to persuade LC that seeing Hall and Oats will be much more fun than it sounds.

Dear 16-year old me
I'm not one to preach but if you haven't seen this, it is worth a watch.
If you know me, you know I'm a worshiper of the sun. But, on multiple occasions during the holiday weekend, I thought of this video. And then I applied SPF 45...again...and again.

Independence Day
I spent the July 4th weekend at my parents house enjoying family time, card games, scrumptious food, sunshine and relaxation. Everytime I head north, I find that books are more enjoyable, food tastes better, sleep is deeper and being lazy doesn't seem like a waste of a day. It was perfect.
As I drove back home, a lightening storm followed me and provided the most beautiful display of crackling bolts I've ever seen. The seemingly choreographed strike of each illumination, made me "oh" and "aw" as if i was watching a fireworks display. I couldn't have asked for a better weekend!
xoxo,
Kate
