A wonderful welcome

Everyone should be greeted at the airport like this.  I had a 6am flight out of Raleigh so I was exhausted but seeing these happy and excited faces made it all worth it!

I love my family.  They make my heart smile.

P.S. Yes, my nephew is wearing a Kansas City Royals hat in honor of me, KC. :)

Family fun

These past few weeks have been filled with lots of family time.  We went to PA for a few days and then my folks came down for a few days. It's been a busy time but I love getting all of this quality time with them.  Unfortunately, I have issues with cameras. I forget to bring them with me or I forget to use them when I actually do have it with me.  It's a problem, especially when you want to do a blog post!

Instead, I shall borrow from the web.

My week in pictures....not exactly but it's close.

Bananagrams. I love this game. My mom and I had some pretty close matches.

Lots of card games. We rotated between Hand and Foot and Boo-Ray.

And lots of golf. Joe got to play a lot with my dad and then we both got to go to a senior PGA golf tournament this weekend. It was fun to watch the professionals

It makes me wish that I lived closer to my family but I'll take what I can get! Looking forward to the next visit already.

So close yet so far

My husband and I went to PA a few weeks ago to see my family and participate in a golf tournament.

Joe came this close to winning the Hole-in-One contest at the tournament.  The prize for such an accomplishment--$10,000.  It's almost more painful that he came that close!

I'm proud of how close he came but, honey, next time make it in the hole! I could have used that extra money!  (kidding, kidding...kind of).

Here's to an awesome weekend with family.

Happiness

That's what I experienced this weekend.  Completely and total happiness.  Nothing makes me happier than a beautiful weekend at home with my family.  I keep looking at the pictures from this weekend and they just continue to make me smile.  I can hear the giggles and shrieks of laughter from my nieces and nephews.  I can still feel the hugs and wet kisses.

I'm lucky that my entire family sets aside 4th of July weekend for a reunion. Since we're all spread out this is sometimes our only chance to see each other during the year. And we make the most of it!

My dad's beautiful pond

My brother and niece being brave at Hershey Park!

My niece made a gorgeous table outside for dinner

My parents backyard. Perfect.

My hubby doing his thing.
Watching the fireworks display. The men outdid themselves!

Not bad for a backyard display!

The carnage afterwards. That's only a portion of it!

I feel refreshed and satistified after this weekend. It was the perfect amount of laughing, eating, swimming and sun. If only it could have lasted a bit longer.  I'm already looking forward to next year!
