Spring means strawberries

March was warm. Unseasonably warm. I'm kind of nervous about what that means for August. Until then I am going to enjoy the benefits of a warm spring. Strawberries--they're here. They are plump, juicy, and delicious. I decided to make my Aunt Carolyn's strawberry pie for Easter and it was delicious.

The recipe is from Taste of Home.  Go get some strawberries and make this pie!

I work for a company that does a lot with statistics so Pi Day is big around here.  We even get free pie at lunch to celebrate. Yum! My group was lucky to be one of the ones photographed in front of the huge Pi statue on our campus in our of Pi Day.  I wish I could share the picture but, unfortunately, my company has strict copyright policy on sharing corporate images.  Maybe some day!

Until then, I will enjoy Pi Day for all it's worth.  Maybe my hubby and I can head on over to Pie Birds in Raleigh for dinner? They even serve a flight of pie so you can try different types. Love!

Go enjoy a slice of pie today...you deserve it!

Yesterday Was Pi Day

I'll find any excuse to eat pie but yesterday was actually legit. March 14, or 3.14, is the day of days for this pie-loving girl. Cherry pie and I were best friends last night.

And now I'm reminded that The Life of Pi has been on my reading list for years. Ahhh, I'll get to it before next Pi day.

And my bangs are in an awkward stage.
